Warsash Sailing Club was the venue for the biggest LOA organised event of the year, in which we also celebrated 35 Years of HUNTER LEGEND YACHTS.

Just as in previous years, we had a lively programme of events for adults and children including a new format “Fun Race” (which involved sailing in a “figure-8”, picking up an MOB Fender), Children’s story-time etc, culminating in the LOA Dinner with LIVE MUSIC on the Saturday night.

 

This is where we got the chance to show our support for the fourth year for the LOA nominated charity, the Ellen MacArthur Trust which provides an experience on the water for children recovering from Cancer, Leukaemia and other serious illnesses.

After a short presentation by a representative from the trust, we held an auction of the fantastic items donated by our sponsors and benefactors to raise money for the trust, bringing the grand total raised by the LOA over the last 4 years to over £9,000 !
