Access

If it is your first time to Bembridge then I would recommend you plan your arrival between HW-2 hours and HW. Follow the channel buoys and beware of the winding channel. If in doubt be sure to enter before HW.

Navigational Matters

For those who have not been into Bembridge recently please be advised of the Notice to Mariners dated 29th February 2006, in which it advises to keep well clear of the new Wightlink Ferry terminal and berth which has been constructed on the site of the old St Helens fort. Also note that is is not possible to navigate between the old St Helens fort and the Bembridge beach due to the new causeway and access road to the new ferry terminal.

 

Berthing

Berths will be reserved at the Duver Marina which is on the starboard side of the channel aprox. Half way down the harbour. Look out for other Legends and berth nearby

 

Format

I have arranged for us to have dinner Bembridge Sailing Club on Saturday night. Drinks at the Bar at 6pm and dinner at 7pm. We will be in Bembridge Friday afternoon so you are welcome to join us on Friday as well.

Adults - £13.50 per head

Main Course

Baked gammon with a Dijon mustard sauce (buffet service)

Desserts

Boozy fruits in brandy snap baskets with home made vanilla ice cream

 

Children - £6.75 per head

Sausages chips and peas or child portion of gammon

Followed by Ice Cream

 

What do you need to do now?

Email Jim Randall Jim@Desurvey.com (01983 875999 or 07771 792991) and let me know if you plan to attend. I need to know your arrival and departure dates, your length and name of boat and how many adult and children meals you will require on Saturday night and the menu choices. Please also send a cheque made payable to the ‘Legend Owners Association’ for the full cost of the meals.

 

IF YOU WISH TO ATTEND YOU MUST PROVIDE THE ABOVE BY MONDAY 27th MARCH 2006.
