Legendary Pre Christmas Dinner - 9th December (Report)

Thanks to Paul and Kath the legendary pre Christmas dinner took place in Port Solent last weekend. As well as treasures, both Paul and Kath were also hunted.

Those with sharp eyes, found Paul dressed up as Father Christmas

and Kath as an Afghan lady in full vail and mask (lets say Jack Straw would have run a mile).

The evening was also organised fantastically and full of fun. We now know a lot of secrets about all who attended (unless the blackmail money is received asap, yours will be published on this site!!!)

I am sure you will all join me for a Big THANK YOU to Paul and Kath.

Well its that time of year again. You know time to celebrate the tinselly thing. Something about the birth of someone or other, Father Christmas? Oh I'm sure you know!

Well as we had such a good time last year I thought we might do it again this year. So I have booked Slackwater Jacques function room in Port Solent for Saturday the 9th of December. It can hold up to 40 people. However they need to know the numbers fairly soon so please if you would like to come let me know as soon as possible with numbers and menu choices

We will meet at Watermargin no I mean Watermark in Port Solent between 19:00 and 20:00 and then go on to the restaurant. The menu is below. I'm sure we will work out some fun and games for the evening as usual.

STARTERS

Sweet potato and thyme soup

Chicken liver paté with plum chutney

Avocado stuffed with atlantic prawns and a lime dressing

MAINS

Escalope of turkey breast with panache of vegetables, roast potatoes and stuffing, served with a cranberry and sage jus

Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, panache of vegetables and gravy

Stilton filo tart with a spinach and poached pear salad finished with pine nuts

SWEETS

Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce

Classic crème brulee

Fresh fruit salad
