Halloween & Fireworks Party 2006

It's coming up to that time of the year where witches stir and zombies become restless in their graves. Once again we are expecting
the appearance of a Ghostly Goose at the Folly on Friday the 3rd of November and floating around Island Harbour on the 4th of November.

Any fiendish vessels are welcome to this years Legendary Halloween and Firework party at Island Harbour in Cowes IOW. The actual Halloween party will be on Sat 4th of November at Island Harbour.
 

Access
The tides are: -

Sat 4th Nov 09:48 am and 10:00 pm

Sun 5th Nov 10:30 am and 10:45 pm

Venue
They have spent a few million pounds at Island Harbour since our last visit. They have some big gates they use when they do maintenance on the locks that they have said we can use as wind breaks. They also said they would put some tarpaulins up if rain was forecast.

Format
On the Sat afternoon we will be having an event which will involve building something and making it work but more of that at the time.

Around 5 p.m. we will head down to the beach with torches and lanterns where we will judge the competition for the best guys (children only - absolute maximum age 75).

Later we will have a BBQ (bring your own BBQ and food & drink) followed by a Fireworks display. I would ask that each boat bring
just ONE BIG firework as opposed to boxes of little fireworks. The idea being that we have a short spectacular display as we did last year.

I have booked the Folly pontoon on Friday night (3rd of Nov) if anybody would like to join us please let us know.
