Halloween & Fireworks Party

It’s coming up to that time of the year where witches stir and zombies become restless in their graves. Once again we are expecting the appearance of a Ghostly Goose around Island Harbour on the 29th and 30th of October and possibly some other ethereal beings and Kindred Spirits. In the past, sighted in the region have been the Fair blue Lady rumoured to walk to the St Helens church on full moons, the ghoulish river otter – Lutra, the earth elemental – Sandstorm, the fiendish banshee – Suzie Toooooooo, the doppelganger Esy May (known for being able to change form at will - 305 to 38) and the goddess of the underworld - Persephone.

But of course many other fiendish vessels are welcome to this years Legendary Halloween and Firework party at Island Harbour in Cowes IOW. The actual Halloween party will be on Sat 29th October at Island Harbour. The Tides are :-

I have put the times in UT as the clocks go back on the Sunday.

On the Sat afternoon we will forage for wood for the bonfire. Around 4 p.m. we will head down to the beach with torches and lanterns where we will judge the competition for the best guys (children only absolute maximum age 75). Later we will have a bbq (bring your own BBQ and food & drink) followed by a Fireworks display. I would ask that each boat bring just ONE big firework as opposed to boxes of little fireworks. The idea being that we have a short spectacular display as we did last year.

We will be at the Folly on Friday night (28th) if anybody would like to join us. Please let me know if you intend to come as soon as possible.
